SAP IBP Planning area activation error.

Hello Experts,

I am new to SAP IBP. I am getting following errors while trying to activate the PA.

E - *S* PL MTHPRODLOCCUST and PL WKPRODLOCCUST: Both cannot be used as base PL of stored key figures E - *S* PL MTHPRODLOCCUSTLAG and PL WKPRODLOCCUSTLAG: Both cannot be used as base PL of stored key figures

E - *S* PL PRODCUSTLOC and PL WKPRODLOCCUST: Both cannot be used as base PL of stored key figures

E - *S* PL WKPRODLOCCUSTGROUP and PL PRODLOCCUSTGROUP: Both cannot be used as base PL of stored key figures

Please let me know if you have seen a similar issue earlier or any suggestions?

Hi Srikant,

As a part of 1905 upgrade, SAP introduced new activation checks. One of them is related to base planning levels with different sets of non-root attributes. You need to change configuration of planning levels to resolve this error. For e.g. check non-root attributes of MTHPRODLOCCUST and WKPRODLOCCUST. Both should be same. You can find more details on SAP help.

If you don't want to correct planning levels now, you can suppress these errors. To activate planning area with such limited scope, go to Planning Areas fiori app. Select your planning area and in Activate dropdown, choose "Limited Scope, with Dependencies" or "Limited Scope, No Dependencies" and select error message to be suppressed from the checklist. Note that you have to fix affected planning levels before 1908 as this option is available only till 1908 upgrade.
