Hi Team,

I am from IBP security team. we are facing one issue with permission filter. When user is inputting some value in excel interface and save the data, only 50% of its value is saving. Issue is occurring only for regional roles for which permission filter is applied. If i remove permission filter for the same role, then its working as expected.

Can some one please guide me where i am doing wrong? attached permission filter settings also.

Appreciate your quick response.

Thanks

Divya

Hi Divya,

I understand you have opened an incident for Product Support with this same issue. Please apply the suggested modelling changes and feel free to share the final solution on this thread afterwards.

Thanks,

Hi Ivan,

Yes, Our project team said that a major change is required to get rid of this issue. Its currently in discussion with the functional team and the suggested change is yet to implement. I will post in this thread after we get the final solution.

Thanks to everyone for their quick support.

Hi Divya,

Bring in "Main Region" in the view and see what you get. If it is other than Chian, then that is the issue.

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for your response.

If user is inputting 1000 qty for regional S&OP forecast override KF and save the data, it appears 500 qty only.for the same role if i remove permission filter then its working.

Thanks,

Divya

Hi Divya,

As per screenshot region is China, so request the user to provide detailed information.

What locations included in the China region and product numbers and which level user entering the values. You need to check the authorizations for that user if any restrictions enabled.

Check the above parameters and let me know if you need any help.

Hi Divya - you are having the restriction maintained at region level in the permission filter. And you seem to be updating the data at 'location' level. When you are updating the data in the planning view, say for two locations, it might be the case that one location doesn't belong to the region for which the restriction is applied. Please get that checked with one of your IBP consultants, in case you are not sure of checking the master data.

Probably this should be the reason for your "50% update" (though it can change based on the master data you are considering).

Thanks,

Regards - Guru

Hi Divya,

What do you mean by "only 50% of its value is saving" ?
