Hello Experts,
We are developing the below SAP Supply time-series heuristic scenarios.
Scenario 1. If Resource is overloaded for 1 week/month, We want to do production in another internal plant.
Scenario 2. If Resource is overloaded for 1 week/Month, We want to take help of subcontractor.
Test data:
Customer: C1 Finished Product: A Components: Comp1, Comp2
Plant: P1, P2 Vendor: V1 Sub Contractor: SubCon
Network as:C1-->P1-->V1
Scenario1:C1<--->P1* <--->V1
*(can go to P2)
Scenario2:C1<--->P1* <--->V1
*(can go to SubCon)
Scenario 1:
We want to give planner a capability to do the simulation without changing the MD.
What I mean is that, If resource is overloaded for 1 week at P1, Planner can move the production to other plant (P2) in excel view.
Scenario 2:
We have maintained the Production header as U and Production resource. I
If resource is overloaded for 1 week at P1, Planner can move the production to SubContractor in excel view.
As per SAP help:
As an alternative way to model external sources of supply, you can define suppliers in the location master data using location type V (see Location). If you do so, the production source header for the externally sourced product is not required. What you need to define, however is the appropriate Location Source of Supply between the external source and the receiving plant.
I tried as per above help but not working.
Can you give me the suggestion, how to achieve above scenarios.
Thanks,

Hello Pravin,
I'm not sure how automated you need this process to be, but considering that the planner can see the resource utilization, in both scenarios, the planner could easily set the ADJUTEDPRODUCTION key figure to 0 in that month, forcing the heuristic to use a different SOS. In scenario 1, it'd go to the 2nd p-rule, and in scenario 2, it'd go to the u-rule.

Matheus

Thanks Matheus for your explanation.

once again thanks,
