SAP IBP order-based planning (SAP7F): Consumption at Month, MPS plan at Week & Deployment at Day

Hello Experts,

We have below requirements in order-based planning.

1. Forecast consumption should happens at Monthly level.

2. Master Production Schedule(MPS) should runs at Weekly Level.

3. Allocation, Confirmation & Deployment at Day Level

As we all know, All KFs in OBP are at Day Level, we can use Forecast consumption OBP profile to select the granularity as Day or Weekly or Month...This will solve point 1.

But when we run Finite Heuristic (Supply run) then it will make monthly plan (based on Forecast consumption OBP profile) .

We tried changing the planning level of Kfs in "Setting for Order based planning app" but did't solve the problem.

Any suggestion/guidance will be helpful.

Hi Pravin,

You can try these steps:

1. Base version with Loc-Prod having Forecast consumption profile at Month level, then copy data over to PV-VSMD version.

2. Same Loc-Prod maintain in "Planning Version for Version Specific MD" and you use new forecast consumption profile at Day Level and run your jobs - for point 3.

Thanks Rahul for your suggestion, We have identified the way we go ahead.

1. We will do FC at Monthly level(using TS FC) in Different Version

2. We will run MPS at weekly by FC level at weekly in Different Version

3. We will run deployment at daily in Base Version.
