Hello everybody,
I have the following issue - I would like to introduce 3 new dimensions to the master data Product. They will be catalog number, revision number and project stage.
Moreover, I guess option1 would be to define them as attributes to Product master data type. If so, then I am able to check these attributes in Excel within the Master Data Workbook and to fill them with data. The problem is however, that I am not able to use them in the standard templates (e.g. SOP010 Sales Forecast) and to filter with these attributes. I guess the issue is referring to the planning levels and key figures?
On the other hand, option2 would be to define these 3 dimensions as new master data types, whereas, for example I would have Catalog number as master data type and catalognr as an attribute assigned to it. So in this case I face basically the same problem - in the Master Data Workbook I can check the catalog number for example as a separate master data type instead of product attribute. But I am not able to do any key figure calculations using these attributes as data filters for instance.
To sum up, I would like to find the simplest way to add the new 3 product dimensions and to be able to use them (e.g. as filters) for different key figure calculations. Just an example - I need to check the sales forecast only for Products with catalog numbers XXX, YYY and ZZZ and to calculate their consensus demand quantities based on the demand.
I have attached a screenshot from the attribute selection and the error from Excel.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards,
Julian

Hi Julian,
In order to use these attributes in Filters you need to add them in the planning levels as well otherwise it will not work.
Hope it helps!!
