SAP IBP - Members sorting in planning view

Hi,

I am working with IBP Excel add-in 1902 and I struggle with sorting the members in a planning view.

Is there a way to sort member in ascending or descending order other than using local excel sorting function? I thought there is maybe an EPM function to do it...but when right-clicking on a member in the excel sheet, the EPM button looks not activated (only 'Quick Edit Planning View' is available).

Hi Laurent,

Yes, you can use EPM Sorting for that. Please refer below:

=> Go to the EPM Edit Report (Template Admin/Advanced/EPM Edit Report...) and select the dimension you want to sort by.

=> On the right side of the 'EPM - Member Selector' window click on the 'Sort or group members by properties' icon and then enable member sorting.

Hi Ivan,

It appears that after IBP 2005 where the tight connection of IBP planning views to EPM has been removed, this functionality no longer works. I find something similar in the Report Editor dropdown to enable sorting and grouping by ID for the desired attribute, but no longer sorts as expected. Is there another way to do this?
