Hi Experts,
I am interested in trying to use the global parameter SKIP_UNCHANGED_DATA to reduce our processing time when loading master data via CIDS. The SAP help says Enhanced Master Data processing must be enabled, however that appears to be in Order Based Planning only, the parameter help however does not say it is just for OBP. Can I use the parameter with time series planning or is it purely an order based planning parameter?
Thanks,
Jez
Thanks Irmhild
It was Improved Master Data Processing (not enhanced) that was a prerequisite, but I have now turned the parameter on and am going to test. I will report back and award points once I have run my test

Jez

I updated the parameter and ran multiple test and there was no noticeable improvement in performance. All my long running jobs ran for the same length of time despite most of the data being unchanged. I also review the Data Integration app and the number of records processed remained unchanged and the logs indicated "Data import of row was successful" - I wasn't sure whether the impact would be shown here but checked out of interest.

I did read it but it was the pre-requisite of having the enhanced master data processing activated, which is purely for OBP that was making me question whether it is applicable to time series.

hey Jez
did you read this?
It states clearly "When the value is set to X, unchanged master data is not updated by SAP Cloud Integration for data services and the Data Integration Jobs app. ", meaning TS-Integration with CI-DS 🙂
