Hi Experts,

Is it possible to extend the session timeout period of IBP Web UI? Please suggest.

It looks like this timeout is introduced in 1905 update.

Regards,
Piyush

Hi Piyush,

From my perception till now, the following rule is applied from 1905 release:

2794310 - S/4HANA Fiori cloud launchpad is login off idle user after in less than 30 minutes

Hi Ivan,

It is mentioned in the note that configuration of time-out is not possible with current releases and SAP will bring out such configuration in future releases.

Thank you for the note.

Piyush

Hello Piyush,

Web Applications - The timeout session on the Web UI can be configured via the administration console for SAP Cloud Platform Identity Authentication service (IAS), more detail in below link:

and then how to configure session time out

Hi Manna,

Thank you for prompt response. Session timeout in CP-IAS is set to 12 hours (default). Whereas, log off window appears much before 12 hours (Attached screenshot in question). Is there any other parameter which controls log off time?

Regards,

Piyush

Hello Piyush,

Seems to me, this feature is not yet available (I may be wrong). The default time out for any Fiori based app is 20 minutes.

Read through following two notes, which are talking about the same:

https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2628342 (Fiori Launchpad & Fiori Client default timeout value)

You can submit (or search for a one if already exists and you can vote for it) an Idea with SAP to bring this feature if it is very important for you. The link is also given inside the below note

https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2468514 (Fiori Launchpad User Level Idle Session Timeout)

Additionally, there are posts in general on Fiori timeout settings, you may try to increase the time in gateway system, have a look into below thread, maybe helpful:

https://answers.sap.com/questions/12054562/index.html

Cheers!

Hi Piyush,

It seems to me that the WEB UI timeout was changed from 1905 release to 1 hour, not sure if hardcoded though...I will post here again if I here anything new on this matter.

Cheers,

Ivan
