SAP IBP Excel - products not available in templates

Hello everybody,

I face the following issue. I have transferred some data from the S/4 to IBP via CPI-DS. I have used the IBP_MD_S4_ERP_AddOn and the IBP_KF_S4_ERP_AddOn templates. Within the Excel Addin I am able to to create a Master Data Workbook and check the data there, which is fine.

However, when I create a standard template such as SOP 010 Sales Forecast or any other, and I try to filter with Product ID and use the products that I have transferred, the Excel returns with the error - No data found. Check your viewer settings. The same happens if I try to filter only with Location ID and use the locations I transferred. Screenshot is attached.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,

Julian

Hi Julian,

By default if you have not uploaded KF values for some specific combinations, their values are NULL, not 0, that's why you won't see any values if you include those KFs on the planning view.

However, you can apply front-end formatting to replace NULL values by "0" if you wish, but for that to work you will have to have at least 1 combination with value to be retrieved, otherwise the NO DATA FOUND error message will always come in the first place.

Best,

Ivan

Hello guys,

In fact the issue was resolved by changing the MRP type to X0 in the material master in S4, because both the preload script of the template IBP_KF_S4_ERP_AddOn and the global variable assume "$G_MRPTYPE_RELEV_FOR_IBP" to have a value "X0".

Thank you very much once again.

Hi Ivan and Arif,

Thank you very much for your responses and comments. They were helpful.

I think I know why do I do not have any value for some KF. I have transferred my MD successfully via CPI via IBP_MD_S4_ERP_AddOn template. For the KF transfer I am using CPI with the IBP_KF_S4_ERP_AddOn template which reads and sends the data to the IBP KFs.

In the S/4 I have created initial inventory, planned orders, production orders, purchase requisitions and purchase orders. All these orders and initial inventory are uploaded to IBP staging tables /IBP/ORDER_EXT and /IBP/STOCK_EXT as initial upload. Afterwards, the orders and the inventory must be transferred to IBP KFs InitialInventory, MinProduction and MinReceipts from those staging tables.

Unfortunately, after running IBP_KF_S4_ERP_AddOn all data is transferred except for the data for KFs InitialInventory, MinProduction and MinReceipts. It does not give any rejections, but 0 records in total.

Moreover, I tried to upload the inventory and orders data separately via IBP_KF_OpenOrders_S4 and IBP_KF_InitialInventory templates, but in that case I got one rejection error for one order only (CUSTID is missing for the respective master data type and planning level) and the rest of the orders are also not transferred.

For me it seems that somehow the orders and initial inventory can not be read by the CPI.

Could you please assist? I think when this issue is resolved, the excel topic will resolved as well since these topics are connected.

Thank you very much in advance.

Julian

Hello Arif,

Thanks for the answer. Here is what I have tested and seen:

I have created a new view without template, whereas I put the materials I have transferred and all the KF available. It turned out I have data for the KF "Production lead time". Hence, I after loading the template SOP 010 Sales Forecast with this KF I was able to check the data for my materials.

But why can't I see the data for other KF despite the fact that I do not have data for it? For example for the KF sales forecast - there is no forecast for these materials but I expect to have at least a value of 0 instead of getting this error message.

May I ask you to give a bit more information on the your 2) suggestion. What is meant by creation of planning combinations?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi Julian,

Ivan has already addressed the query just in case you want to create the Combination manually you can follow the below option in order to create the same.

1. Click on New Planning Object option in Excel UI.

2. Enter desired combination in planning object field. Make sure these records are a part of individual simple master data types. Click on Add.

3. Enter data for new combination that has come up. Click on save data to save this combination along with the data.

Hope it helps!

Hi Julian,

Can you do the below checks in order to validate the data.

1) Please check the data without any template for the SKU's you have loaded from S/4 system, if the data is visible then check the filters in the template.

2) If the data is not visible probably the planning combinations are not yet created for the key figures for the newly created Products and Locations.

Hope it helps!!

Arif
