Hello experts,
is it possible to hide the ribbon within the IBP Excel Add-In?
With the help of the app "Maintain Business Roles" I was able to reduce the authorization to the following tabs:

The tabs "Data Input", "Alerts", "Tasks" and "About" are fine and can remain as they are.

Unfortunately, I have not found a way to edit the "Planning View" ribbon.

Can you please tell me if such a restriction is possible and how to set it? (possibly only via parts of the ribbon (Workbook Filter, Worksheet Filter, Edit View,..)

Thank you very much!

Hi @Crombach

Yes indeed you are able to add and remove the Default options of Excel Addin as per the administrative functions scoping under Business Role Restrictions.

But the below highlighted screenshot has nothing to do about authorization to edit the planning view. It is just that the Excel Sheet that it is currently active is not a planning view. If you create the excel sheet as planning view using the 'New View' option, other inactive options in the Planning View and Data Input Sections will be activated.

Hi @rihaz, Thank you for your reply. You are right, in my previous screenshot I was only logged in but did not select a template. But this is not important for the question. After logging in, I now see the following functions "active" and it is possible to use these functions. But this is exactly what I want to prevent. Is it possible to select "Favorites", "Edit View", "Workbook Filter" ,... from the Planning View ribbon to be hidden or deactivated in an active/selected planning view. Best Regards

Administrative Functions PLAN_VIEW is by default open the authorization for both the Planning View and Data Input section options in the Excel Add-in. This authorization only will help the user to create, edit and interact with the planning view. As PLAN_VIEW function to consolidate Create, Edit and Manage Planning View, we can't have a scenario where user is authorized to create planning view, but not use edit feature or data input section completely.

Best Regards,
