Hello,
I've been reading about SAP Demand Sensing within IBP in many links (example below) and am interested in understanding what (if any) dependencies/constraints exist if the operational ERP system is not SAP (ECC or S/4)
Specific Questions - What is the feasibility of using SAP IBP demand sensing when the operational ERP is not SAP ECC or S/4? Are there any hard/technical dependencies of using Demand Sensing when ERP system is non SAP?
Note - We do have a SAP BW 7.3 system which captures daily open orders/shipments at the granular level
- Has anyone had experience integrating open orders/shipments from non SAP systems in the context of Demand Sensing?
Thank you for any general insights/thoughts

Hi,
To utilize the demand sensing functionality in SAP Demand application SAP ECC or S/4HANA is not mandatory as operation system.
You can model the sales history from third party or legacy system information (Sales order, shipments, deliveries) in to SAP Demand and forecast for future periods.
The overall design it depends on the integration scope between third part system and IBP Demand application for initial and delta loads handling.
