Hello,

Our client want to create more number of scenarios in IBP S&OP and also want keep those scenarios for more than a year for comparison purpose..

I know it impacts performance if we use more number of scenarios and for more period

Any best practice on these?

Rg,

Madhukar

Hi Madhukar,

I don't think there is a hardcoded number, but Scenarios are designed for short term what-if analysis and if you are planning on holding the simulations for comparison purpose for more than a year I would recommend you to use Versions instead.

Please check below documentation on its differences:

What is the Difference Between a Version and a Scenario?

Best,

Ivan

Absolutely true... data inside scenario gets refreshed once baseline scenario is refreshed. So data can not be retained for 1 yr. as we run planning on regular basis.
