Hello Expert,
I facing a problem during use of "Reserved Material", we have tow options.
the first one is to "use" reserved material in service call and it's make the used quantity to appear in Material tab as added quantity.
the other option is to "Take to own stock" and i think it's make stock transfer from reserved material stock to technician stock.
the problem is, when i choose to "Take to own stock" the selected quantity doesn't appear in "My Stock" in Material.
why this happen, and how can i transfer the stock to technician stock to use it.
another thing, if during creating the service call the dispatcher reserve a quantity of material which selected from warehouse to another one like for Ex (van stock or Technician stock) why this stock doesn't appear from the first time in "My Stock" for the technician during adding material.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Mahmoud
Please note that SAP FSM doesn't have any warehouse management functionality built in. We always depend on the backend system to actually book stock transfers and send us the new stock levels.
So in case of "Take to own stock", FSM creates a stock transfer object (https://help.sap.com/viewer/fsm_data_model/Cloud/en-US/stocktransferdto_v15.html). It is then in the responsibility of the backend system to book this stock transfer and update the technicians stock level. Therefore, this update of stock level will only be visible after two synchronizations (first to send stocktransfer object to backend, second to get new stock levels after backend system has booked the transfer).
Also creating reserved material by the dispatcher is only creating any stock movements if this is implemented in the backend system. FSM itself only shows the reservation but won't be able to move any stock on its own.
best regards,
René
