Dears , I am trying to do the Inspection of EWM-QM scenarios where POSC setup already enabled and was able to do the Usage Decision at ERP side with EWM tab and stock status is getting changed in EWM side. When i close the HU in QM work center bin , it is not creating automatic next Putaway task. What settings am i missing here? What settings required for auto Putaway HU task? Also the follow up actions are in place for the IOT - 4 type.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
the sequence is listed in the IMG activity documentation (when you click on the documentation icon in the customizing step).
"But why all the SAP system standard Warehouse 0001 initial setting are having the sequence like this?"
Why is something you should never ask...
When I once asked a developer about this the answer was that you can try in a different sequence, but without any guarantee that it would work. And again: does it make sense to have deconsolidation AFTER the quality inspection?

Hi,
"1.Will there be any Putaway task be created while doing GR with RF transaction and will that be waiting state till QIS step completed and then do the WT confirmation of putaway?"
If you set the process up in the way to create the putaway WTs early, yes, they would be inactive. But I belive this is not recommendable. First of all the determined bins are blocked all the time, and in case the QM inspection is negative, the WTs need to be cancelled.
"2.Also we are using the Deconsolidation step after QIS and followed by Putaway , so here the an Automatic task should be created also for Deconsolidate?"
That should not be possible. The documentation describes the possible sequence of steps for putaway:
- Unload
- Count
- Deconsolidate
- Quality Inspection
- VAS
- Put Away
So, according to this, the deconsolidation has to happen before QI. Also, it does not make sense to have a deconsolidation after QI. A deconsolidation is for mixed HUs. How do you do a quality inspection if only a part of the material in a HU is for QM? OK, the same should be true for counting, I have never understand how this should be possible before deconsolidation.
"3.What is the purpose of the follow up action settings after UD done in ERP side , will it create any further WT?"
Which setting...?
"what is mean by "In this case you should have an entry in the EWM inbound queue" , which one you are referring here?"
During the POSC new WTs are created through a qRFC. In case this does not work, the creation is stuck in the queue. So check the EWM inbound queue in the monitor if there is something.

Hello Juergen , For the point - I think you mentioned is more of right process however SAP standard i did not see the correct flow.
Could you share the documentation link describes the possible sequence of steps for putaway:
- Unload
- Count
- Deconsolidate
- Quality Inspection
- VAS
- Put Away
Can you share the SAP documentation link?
But why all the SAP system standard Warehouse 0001 initial setting are having the sequence like this?
- QIS then IB02?

Hi,
"I do see button ' Complete process step for HU' but i am not seeing the 'trigger follow-up action' button in QA workcenter in EWM side.."
OK, so you make the decision in ERP, but close the HU in EWM. That is fine, actually this is in my opinion also the process that makes the most sense.
But that should mean that something in your POSC is not fully setup. So you should show your process settings. Or that the destination bin can not be found. In this case you should have an entry in the EWM inbound queue.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Thanks Juergen for your response. What are queries in my mind are
1.Will there be any Putaway task be created while doing GR with RF transaction and will that be waiting state till QIS step completed and then do the WT confirmation of putaway?
2.Also we are using the Deconsolidation step after QIS and followed by Putaway , so here the an Automatic task should be created also for Deconsolidate?
3.What is the purpose of the follow up action settings after UD done in ERP side , will it create any further WT?

Did you press the 'trigger follow-up action' button in the QA workcenter? I would say this is a requirement also.

So you mean to say the follow up action button on transaction - /scwm/qinsp ? I do see button ' Complete process step for HU' but i am not seeing the 'trigger follow-up action' button in QA workcenter in EWM side..
please note , we are using SCM box for EWM with version 9.4. please let me know.
Maybe its easier if you show us a print of slg1 at the moment of decision recording. Mayve WT is not getting created because of inconsistent strategy/destination st.type etc.

Hi Vivek,
Do you have the Putaway WPT defined?
You also have a flag for 'Automatic WT' in the POSC configuration, you can check that.
