SAP EWM Pick by Cart not accepting pick HU

Hello Experts,

I am trying to implement Pick by cart feature.I was able to successfully create Pick HU in the WO of the delivery.

I have defined the Layout of the cart and assigned the same to the resource.

The app is able to pick the WO for processing ,but when I scan the pick HU that is already created in WO the app gives me the error 'HU was created outside of Pick by Cart app.This is not supported'.

Can anyone please let me know if I am following the right process.

Hi,

actually the app is NOT supposed to work with an HU which is automatically created in the WO (it used to do that, but that was a bug...).

The scenario for which this function was developed, is in an environment where you re-use pick-HUs again and again. Like you have a set of boxes with assigned numbers, you use them as pick-HU, but at the work center you repack the content into a new HU, and for the next picking process you just re-use the same or other empty boxes.

Thanks for the reply.But in the Config documentation given by SAP I see that Packaging Profile has been used to create pick HU automatically.But as per your information ,I believe we need to create Pick HU nos as some kind of Master data which will be reused.

Can you please let me know how to do that.

Hello Rakesh,

yes, the documentation writes about a pack profile, but there is nothing about a packaging specification, isn't it? I also thought you would create the pick HU in the WO, but SAP note 2882325 - Pick by Cart App and previously created Pick-HUs describes that this is not the case. In a S/4HANA 1909 it used to work, but not in a current system anymore.

Technically you can also just enter any HU number, so the pick HU is then created.
