Hello
Basic question, packaging material in SAP EWM for the outbound is always stock managed?
Means we need to maintain the stock for example pallets all the time and stock should get reduced when I do a goods issue for the outbound delivery?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
"Basic question, packaging material in SAP EWM for the outbound is always stock managed?"
No, not always. You can do that. Which means you then create items for packaging materials (either manually or automatically - the second is the more recommended option), for which you then post goods receipt. If you do that, you should also consider the creation of items for packaging materials in the inbound process.
Both is described here: https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_ON-PREMISE/9832125c23154a179bfa1784cdc9577a/98cacb53ad377114e10...

All the above is no official SAP statement.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
