Hi All,
My client has a requirement to deploy opp. cross-docking ( EWM triggered), however they are not in a position to use the RF devices during delivery processing due to some shop-floor operational issues, instead they prefer to post txn using desktops. Is it possible to deploy opportunistic CD without RF devices ? if no, is there any other workarounds that I can look into ?
Your response is much appreciated.
Many thanks.

Hi,
I don't think that the EWM controlled opportunistic cross-docking does completely required the use of RF.
CD can cancel existing WTs in order to do a cross-docking instead, for this the WT to be cancelled must be in a RF relevant queue. But if you don't need this, opp.CD can be used paper-based.
Or does anyone say otherwise?

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
