Hello All,
I am working on a decentralized environment in which EWM is configured in S/4Hana and the data flows from ERP.
There are are 3 storage locations assigned to the plant and they are WAR-Warranty, AFS and ROD.
When the material is moved to the storage location WAR a customised movement type Z11 which has been copied from 311 should be triggered and when the destination location is not WAR it will be 311.
Can we do this config in EWM ? . If so then can someone please guide me regarding this config.
Thanks in anticipation and like always soliciting the help of the gurus.
Regards.

Hi Saurav,
Usually for a storage location change from EWM the movement type will in most cases be standard movement type 411 (as maintained in /SCWM/TIMBWA), if there is no particular scenario like special stock (e.g. consignment) or change of plant, material-to-material posting involved.
As far as I am aware, there is no option to change the movement type by the storage locations that are involved, you can only generally change the movement type with an entry in /SCWM/TIMCBWA (e.g. from 411 to something else), but that won't cover your requirement.
The easiest and cleanest way to achieve the behavior that you want is to implement BAdI /SCWM/EX_ERP_GOODSMVT_EXT, evaluate the fields STGE_LOC, MOVE_TYPE and MOVE_STLOC in table CT_GOODSMVT_ITEM and change the movement type (MOVE_TYPE). Ideal would be to implement a control table with key source storage location, input movement type, destination storage location and the dependent field output movement type.
Best regards,
Jonas

Hello Jonas,
The business has clarified the scenario which is as follows :
ERP-Create PO
Create Inbound Delivery which is distributed to EWM in S4HANA
EWM- Do a Goods Receipt
Create a WT
Confirm the WT
ERP-the material document is posted with movement type 411 and not Z11.
Depending on the availability group and sloc mapping in EWM the material document should get posted with the correct movement type which will not be 411. It should be 311 when sloc is different and not WAR.
The earlier scenario was not correct hence I am sending the requirement once again.

Hi Saurav,
Yep, the clarification is just what I understood in the first place. The answer is still pretty much the same. As I said, the system will usually use 411 for storage location posting changes.
I would proceed as follows:
- Make an entry in /SCWM/TIMCBWA to change movement type from 411 to 311 for the general posting change.
- Implement BAdI as described above to change movement type from 311 to Z11 in WAR scenario
