Hi Experts,
In the latest version of S/4 HANA, why is EWM called add-on? what's the difference between a module (MM,PP,QM.....) and an add-on?
Nowadays, what are the different types of implementation of EWM?
And are there any differences between a centralized EWM and decentralized EWM functionally speaking?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Dora

Hi Dora.

SAP EWM is an add-on for SAP ECC not for S/4HANA. In S/4HANA SAP EWM can be deployed as an embedded solution with a basic license option, but, able to become fully activated with advanced license. See the picture below:

Nowadays, what are the different types of implementation of EWM?
I believe this note can answer this questions: 1606493 - SAP EWM Deployment Options Best Practices
And are there any differences between a centralized EWM and decentralized EWM functionally speaking?
