SAP EWM how to set up note 2496865?

Dear Gurus,
We want to use pick-point logic, however the source storage type is bulk. This means we cannot set "pick point active" flag in the storage type master. There is a SAP Note 2496865, saying that in this situation, an additional step in POSC for Work-Center (i.e. pick point) is needed. However no more details there.

I have created POSC like

OB01

ZPP1 (here I determine my PP-WorkCenter)

etc.

but in this case the WT is created with pick-qty from the delivery (e.g. full pallet is 100 pc, deliervy qty is 5 PC, so the WT is created for 5 PC). This is not OK, since I need to pick the entire pallet. If I set rounding = 4 in the Bulk storage type (round up to Pallet Qty), the WT (from bulk to the pick point) is created with the full pallet, ie. with 100 pc. But this first WT is immediately assigned to the outbound delivery, when I pick the pallet to the resource! Means the full pallet is not available for other deliveries, though I need only 5 pieces from this pallet for my delivery. After picking the needed quantity at the pick point, I cannot return the rest of the pallet normally to the Bulk-storage.

Any additional special setting, that I need to set in LOSC or POSC, so the Posting change (assignment to the delivery) is executed only at the pick-point, like it works in standard PickPoint Prozess?

Thanks.

Hi Pavlo,

2496865 - Personas scripting crashes. It is not about Bulk.

Anyhow, in bulk storage you should have available level on the bin. It means system creates warehouse task for "any" HU. It means you cannot use this WT for losc just because HU is unknown.

If you want to stay within standard you can use separate picking storage type and replenishment process. Or two step picking.

Or maybe you can correct OSS number, it is interesting what SAP suggests for such case.

Hi Pavlo,

I guess idea of this OSS is about "How to use WorkCenter with Bulk" and not about "How to use LOSC with Bulk". And OSS explains exactly same thing as I did above, you cannot create WT for HU because HU is unknown for the WT. If you create WT for the exact HU this pallet can be inaccessible for the worker, so he would need to rearrange pallets.
