SAP EWM: Create storage bin with the same name for another storage type

Hello,

I want to create a new storage bin with the name "BIN_1" for the specific storage type. But bin with the same name already exists for another storage type and system gives me a message -

Storage bin BIN_1 already exists

Message no. /SCWM/L1008

I've found the SAP note 1456604 (issued in 2010) that is fixing this error, but i can not implement the following note.

Could you please advise how to fix this error?

Hi,

this is no error. The error described in the note refers to some issue in the transaction, that if you entered an existing storage bin, the storage type field is not emptied (or something like that).

But in EWM each bin is unique. You can not create a new bin with the same name as an existing bin, also not in another storage type.
