SAP EWM - Cartonization Planning

Hello Experts,

I would like to know how SAP EWM Cartonization planning works. I wanted to do a test case where the Pick HU i will use is a internal HU and it will not be used for shipping to customer and i would like to determine shipping HU's separately during Packing in PACK work center . Can somebody help with the any reference document reg Cartonization Planning During Packing.
