SAP EWM Bonded Warehouse Outbound Process (Differentiation of stock types)

Hi Experts,

Greetings of the day

We are in process of finalizing bonded warehouse solution for our client.

Below is the requirement from business for "Outbound process", Kindly help me to understand this scenario better, which helps me to map the system settings in right direction.

1. Warehouse 1234 is currently managed in EWM, the same warehouse 1234 they want to use as BWH, which means the warehouse has both Bonded and Non-Bonded stocks.
2. With in Bonded warehouse they have “Free circulation” stocks and “Duty unpaid” stocks.
3. Non bonded stocks will be with stock type F2 and bonded stocks will be with stock type C2. I am not sure if free circulation stocks will be F2 and will be separated based on partner/party entitled to dispose
4. In ECC the storage location is only one for both Bonded and Non Bonded is 2002

Question:

When we process customer order and creates the delivery, the storage location will be 2002 for all, when the delivery gets dropped to EWM system, how system understands whether…

1. If it is Non Bonded stocks the stock type should be F2
2. If it is Bonded and duty unpaid, the stock type should be C2
3. If it is Free circulation stock, the stock type should be F2

When the delivery is in EWM, system determines the stock type already, my understanding is stock type determination is crucial here.

I have never implemented BWH solution before, I have very limited knowledge, based on our internal discussions I am trying to understand and making settings.

Kindly help me with the system settings, if we need to make any specific settings in ECC/S4 or in EWM to address the above requirements.

hi Hari , unless i am missing some major functionality, the BWH inventory management is done in GTS. when a material document is saved in feeder (S/4, ECC) it get transferred to GTS if the movement type is activated in the feeder GTS plug in configuration; there are two important tables in feeder /SAPSLL/ECPPA and /SAPSLL/ECPIR3 which contain respectively the materials relevant for BWH transferred from GTS and the initial stock indicator. if the plant/sloc + the materials in these tables are set up correctly the transferred document in GTS is managed under the BWH (Customs ID) and the inventory movement is recorded as DUP or DP stock. vast subject; i hope i answer in the right direction

I think your are referring from inventory management prospective and it works as you explained.

if EWM linked with one ECC location, and with in EWM if we have different stock types, like Non bonded, bonded. Same product may exists in both bonded and non-bonded.

When customer service drops an order for a product, how EWM understands if it has to be picked from Nonbonded or bonded?

I would like to understand or get clarify more on handling or managing stock types in EWM for BWH scenario.
