How the Automatically Generate Packaging Items works in EWM.

Any prerequisites and necessary configuration

Is the stock type in the delivery ok?

Are you using fix bin assignment for stock determination or some more "complex" logic? Maybe start with something simple like fixed bin assignment so that you know that it works and eliminate other sources of error.

Hi Markus,

We are using 2 Packaging Items for packing an HU.

At Lvl1 we use a Basket Packaging Mtrl

At Lvl2 we use a Pallet Packaging Mtrl at this we use HU Creation.

During Goods Issue system is picking / proposing only the Lvl2 Packaging Item.

How do we consider the Lvl1 Packaging Mtrl for consumption during Goods Issue.

I think you have one basic issue, which is NOT the creation of the item.

That means you find a packaging specification during the WO creation with the packaging profile?

Are you sure that the first packaging material is considered at all? What do you see when you confirm the WO? I would guess that you only see the Lvl2 pack material at this point, because the pick HU creation does not consider the first level.
