Hello, can you please share your thoughts about SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA TM integration (Descentralizes deployment option) regarding customer and vendor integration? Is mandatory the conversion of customers and vendors in Business Partner at SAP ECC side as pre requisite for SAP S/4HANA TM integration?

please have a look at SAP Note 2769186 - System Transformation SAP TM to TM in SAP S/4HANA.

Item 9a should answer your question.

"Under certain circumstances, there is a temporary work-around possible while accepting the corresponding limitations and risk for follow up efforts later on, as described below."

To make this crystal clear: The recommended approach always is to do CVI in ERP before integrating to a TM in S/4HANA system, even if there is the workaround for some scenarios, which is mentioned in the note.
