Hello,
I am currently trying to design a process using standard SAP DM; however, I am facing some challenges regarding its proper implementation.
The process is as follows:
There are two operations in total, and the users involved in these operations do not communicate with one another.
In the first operation (let’s call it Operation 10), raw materials are loaded into a basket and packaged. Physically, there are five different baskets available, and the same baskets are repeatedly filled and emptied. Each package that is created, assigned a unique number and status (NEW, PREP, RDY, CMPL).
In the subsequent operation (Operation 20), only baskets with a status of “Ready” are displayed, and the user selects the basket they wish to consume. The moment the basket is selected, the materials within that package are recorded in the consumption table, thereby completing the process.
Possible Solution:
Define each basket (all five) as an MM storage location and execute the first operation via MM.
Then, on the DM screen for the second operation, create a button for each basket (MM storage). When the user clicks the button for the basket they want to use, the system will read the content of that MM storage via DM and, using a repeater, process the consumption of each material through DM.
Problem:
In later stages, if a confirmation cancellation occurs and the corresponding materials are returned to the MM storage, they may mix with the materials in the active basket. This mix-up would prevent the active process from progressing smoothly.
So, do you have any suggestion to handle this situation? I will be expecting hear from you as soon as possible
Regards
MSY
