SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM) and Plant Maintenance previously done with MII

HI,

If we have SAP PM  integration with MII and an application that manages notifications, PM work order etc. and few maintenance orders will be local, not linked to SAP PM but stored in local DB, how SAP DM is going to help here and how can we achieve this functionality in DM?
