Hello ~ I am reaching out with this question to the SAP Ariba SCM community. We are using SAP Ariba Sourcing, Contracts, Buying, and Invoicing and are exploring options to export the data and land it in our data warehouse. This was attempted a couple of years ago with the creation of templates and exporting data via Analytical API. However, there are challenges with this approach: 1) Keeping Ariba record changes and deletions in synch with the DW; 2) Analytical API limits are reached due to high volumes of data; and 3) Templates that contain vector fields have a lower Analytical API limit (5,000 per day). Also, as an FYI, our ERP system is PeopleSoft Financials.
If you have successfully implemented an SAP Ariba data strategy with the export of data to a DW, I would really appreciate a response to this post. We are open to all ideas - internal middleware development using SAP Ariba APIs, SAP solutions, non-SAP solutions, etc. Thank you!
