Hello All,
Need to understand the capacity levelling in SNP Heuristics background planning.
The general interactive process is as follows:
1. Run Heuristic to generate receipt (Planned Orders)
2. Do Capacity levelling
3. Do Deployment
If SNP planning is happening via background then how Capacity Levelling will take place because Deployment runs immediately after Heuristic run.

Prabhat

Hi Prabhat,
The sequence given by Abhishek is the right one. What do you expect by running the deployment earlier than capacity levelling? Capacity Levelling would help you plan your receipts to respect the capacity. Without constrained capacity, it is not a good suggestion to move ahead with the deployment.

Hello,
Yes, you are correct SAP APO planning cycle is
DP-->SNP--> SNP capacity Leveling --> PP/DS-->Deployment
See link:Supply Network Planning Process
SNP heuristic, Capacity Leveling and Deployment are run using different functions programs in background.
/SAPAPO/SNP01 - Supply Network Planning in the Background
/SAPAPO/SNP05 - Capacity Leveling
/SAPAPO/SNP02 - Deployment
You need to check your background job setup and separate the Deployment and SNP heuristics.

Abhishek

Thanks Abhishek - so you mean that if manual capacity leveling has to be done then need to stop the deployment job and once capacity leveling is done - start the deployment job.
Alternatively - can we do the capacity leveling after the job ( Heuristic+Deployment ) has completed and then do the real time deployment (multiple locations.)

Prabhat
