sales order stock with EWM

Hello, I'm trying to find out if S/4 EWM can remove sales order stock from S/4 ERP. There are fields for both 'Sales Order' and 'Sales Order Item' in outbound delivery order in EWM.

In case sales order number/item number from S/4 ERP can be somehow populated into those fields in EWM, then I'm guessing I should be able to remove/pick the sales order stock if the stock in EWM is also managed with special stock. However, looks like it is not possible within standard functionality.

I'm not sure if this is correct approach. Does anyone have experience to remove sales order stock in EWM? Really appreciate if any advice. Thanks.

Hi Hironori,

These fields are meant for special stock. The special stock information must come from ERP, so that the outbound delivery on ERP side already contains special stock. Then it's populated in the EWM ODO as well.

EWM will then only pick stock marked as special stock for this same sales order item. Meaning: The GR for this stock should be posted with special stock indicator as well, e.g. from a sales order-specific manufacturing order.

You can change (remove, set) the special stock reference for stock in /SCWM/POST and it will be communicated as a posting change to ERP as well. However, if you do this manual posting, you may experience hanging queues in SMQ2 on ERP side because of price differences between "anonymous" stock and sales order-specific stock.

Best regards,

Jonas

Hi Jonas,

Great Thanks for your advice. Pardon me another question, I'm not sure if sales order/item number in ODO can be populated from ERP to EWM in standard. I'm guessing it may need some enhancement like implementing BADI. It is really appreciated if you have any idea. Thanks,

That should be standard. You just need a make-to-order item type with a requirement class that's make to order (check transaction OVZI), then it will be sent to EWM.
