Sales Order and Production Order dates are not in Sync

Hi Experts,

We have a two cases where the dates in Sales Order and Production order are not in sync. Both the cases are explained below.

Case 1:

Production order has been scheduled and confirmed for Feb-22nd. GR Processing takes 1 day. But the Material Availability date in Sales Order is Feb-22 instead of next day.

Case 2:

Production order has been scheduled and confirmed for Feb-25th. But the Goods Issue Date in Sales Order is Feb-22nd. Production order dates and planned goods issue date is not in sync.

Can you please let me know why this is happening. Thanks in advance.

MTO Scenario

While creating a sales order system perform the backward scheduling and create planned orders, if backward scheduling not able to fulfill the requirement then system choose forward scheduling consider the following parameters.

1. Total replenish lead days

2. Material in-house (TRL not maintained) and goods receipt days

3. Transportation, Loading and Goods issue days

Finally, arrive at the delivery date.

MTS Scenario

While creating a sales order system perform the backward scheduling and create planned orders considering the existing stock, if backward scheduling not able to fulfill the requirement then system choose forward scheduling consider the following parameters.

1. Total replenish lead days

2. Material in-house (TRL not maintained) and goods receipt days

3. Transportation, Loading and Goods issue days

Finally, arrive at the delivery date.

The above process is at high-level other configuration parameters (route and availability check). You can re-run availability check to get the latest confirmation date considering all parameters. As mentioned Brahmankar CO09 provides visibility about availability dates.

Is there any changes in production orders date?

Have you perform the ATP check on sale order again to check the confirmation dates?

Please check the CO09 for date of availability of production orders and requested date of sale orders.

If possible please share the screen shot of CO09 and MD04.

Hello,

There is no difference in sales order requested date and availability date of production order.

Availability date in MD04 is included with the GR processing time.

You may test this in quality system in production order good receipt tab remove the GR processing time and save the order and refresh the MDO4 and check the material availability date.

Then again in same production order update GR processing time save the production order and refresh the MD04 and check the availability date.

If you want to see the production order without GR processing time, then in MD04 go to Setting - Setting in date tab select good recipet then it will be without GR procsing time.
