S/4 Shell Conversion with IBP - Material Types

Hi All

I currently work for a company that have all materials (including finished goods) set to HAWA.  They are looking to do a shell conversion from ECC to S/4 with only mandatory changes needed.  SAP IBP is going to follow after we are live.

I'm trying to build a case where we should look to standardise some data as we convert and this is top of my list.  Having never seen this setup before does anyone have any experience of this and the problems we might face especially when trying to implement IBP, PLM, MDG etc. afterwards
