Running Optimizer without Location Source

Hi Experts,

S&OP Version: 3.0.3.0

Scenario: Based on supply network, we have configured customer source and not location source as there is no supply chain node between customer and manufacturing location.

Question -> Is optimizer in agreement with the above scenario?

We are facing the below error, is this related to the above scenario?

"Invalid sourcing data: Total ratio is 0.000000 for location P100 and product 110012 and time period 18 Jan'16: total ratio is less than allowed and no U-rule found"

Hi Aditya,

The error points to invalid sourcing ratio at plant P100. Can you check if production source is maintained for this product with either source type 'P' or 'U'?

Hi Rohit,

Thanks for your response.

I checked the production source MDT values and it seemed right. I ran an unconstrained which ran successfully and then ran optimizer and it showed results.

Any guess what must have happened?

Hi Aditya,

Can you post the customer source and production source MDT and also the planning view screenshot depicting supply relevant key figures like dependent demand, dependent customer demand, net demand etc.
