Hi Folks
I am Trying to perform Rolling Sum aggregation based on Safety Time which is Variable every week
Can any one share some ideas on how to do this through Key figure caliculations
Please see attached screen shot for more details and below steps
Step 1 - Check for Location Factory Calendar Key figure for number of Days whether its 4 , 5 , 6 or 7 Days Step2 - Check For IO Days of Supply Key figure like how many days of Supply is needed whether 7 or 10 , 12 or 15 or 20 Step 3 Now Calculate Rolling Demand Sum based on IO Days of Supply Key Figure and number of days from Location Factory Calendar and corresponding IO Demand Forecast in those weeksRequest clarification before answering.
Hi Meghan,
There are 3 approaches to this requirement.
1. Use Local Member (Simple option)
- Create a local member i.e. first check Day's supply vs Factory calendar and then sum the demand forecast.
2. Using KFs in IBP (Recommended option)
-Simple Rolling aggregation won't work for this requirement. You need to use "offset" function and offset the forward buckets in the safety stock required bucket. For e.g. for bucket 4 Safety stock calculation, you need to bring the 5th bucket data in the 4th bucket (Offset 1), Bucket 6 data in 4th bucket (offset 2) and so on.
-Once the offset KFs are done, then use a logic of Days of supply vs factory calendar and basis on the Day's supply, pick the appropriate Offset KF and rolling aggregation.
3. Request for L-Code
-Reach out to SAP for the creation of L-Code, as in the case of 2nd approach it is not a standard solution but a workaround.
Hope it helps

Praveen
