Dear people
Firstable i want to thank you for making this kind of forum possible. Then here is my question
We are working for a customer who have the same product but different costs (one for wholesale and the other for retail) in his ECC server. Basically the business structure is: one society, 2 plants, one storage location per plant, each storage has the same product but different cost.
The problem here, btw we are implementing EWM 9.5, they need to store the same product (no matter what plant the handling unit has) into the same storage bin because of space issues. So if the operator during Picking, replenishment process is ok to take any piece/carton/HU no matther the plant attribute, how can we handle this on EWM?,
So far, looks like a big development just to satisfy the operation needs, what do you think?, is it possible to handle this with standard functionality?, or what kind of development do you suggest?
Thanks in advance
Hector

Hi Ajit, thanks for your response
Let me check the stock determination functionality and see the behaviour for finance and MM stuff.
Regarding your second point, in this case, will you recommend me to have different party entitle to dispose?

Hi Hector,
I assume you are looking for automatic Stock Determination for different Owner. Please check the link for Solution.
Note: you would get accounting document in ECC/WT in EWM for this conversion
" looks like a big development just to satisfy the operation needs, what do you think?, is it possible to handle this with standard functionality?, or what kind of development do you suggest?"

My Opinion:- It all depends upon your organization Structure in EWM.
WH Entities- WH,Party Entitle to Dispose, Owner
What would be your mapping plan for Party Entitle to Dispose/Owner ?
Kind Regards,
Ajit

Hi,
technically it is no problem to store two quants with different owners in one storage bin (this is called mixed storage). For putaway the biggest issue probably will be that most standard strategies will not do that automatically.
For picking the thing is different. OK, I assume it is anyway just one big lump of material, so it does not really matter what the picker takes. But one day you will have to make a physical inventory and then of course you have to say what quantity you have for each owner in the bin.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
