Restrict Check Access in IBP

Is there a way to restrict the option to run "Check" under the Configuration app in IBP?

Currently role which is assigned has "Planning Model Configuration" Business catalog assigned with "unrestricted" read access and "No access" in Write. With the above settings, all options except "Check", "Export to CSV". Is there a way to restrict these options as well?

Thanks,

Pallavi

Hi,

As stated, this is not possible to be accomplished in the current product design. If you have a business requirement for this, feel free to send it via the IBP Influence channel and it may be considered by the IBP Product Management team for future releases:

Can you please try explain more on business needs

Both actions are read the planning model only:

  • the CSV download just downloads data that is anyway visible and therefore accessible to the end-users with read authorization, and
  • the consistency check action just gives feedback about the model consistency, but does no change

What is driving principle / real need behind those requirement's?

Hi Pallavi,

Unfortunately, it is not possible as the only restriction available is for Create, Copy, Edit and Delete Planning models. And that is the reason you can still see Check and Export to CSV option even though you have No Access in Write.

Hi Ankur,

Thank you for your response. Would there be a way to get this available using "Planning Model Activation" Catalog in combination with "Planning Model configuration"? I tried a couple of combinations but haven't achieved the desired result.

Thanks,

Pallavi
