Resource Under utilization ( APO)

Hello APO Gurus,

Would like to know what is the best work around for a requirement wherein, due to fluctuating demand across the year, which gets low in certain months, especially towards the end of a quarter, results in under utilization of resource.

Since Client uses CTM planning engine, are there any options within CTM profile that could help? Or would capacity leveling post CTM run is advisbale?

Just to elaborate your query, can you please provide the business requirement asked as of below ?

1) do you want to utilize the resource at its maximum capacity even though demands are less ?

2) Do you want to shut down resource in case demands are less than certain quantity ?

3) have you already maintained the safety stock level for given plants ?
