Hello Expert,
I tried to configure POSC or LOSC with one extra step before supplying to production stage material is supermarket area but it did not work for replenishment with WT in kanban.
Please suggest if you tried & had success.

Hi,
well, the documentation (https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_ON-PREMISE/9832125c23154a179bfa1784cdc9577a/5440f28023b047a08fda2bf4a3f4a52e.html?locale=en-US&q=kanban) says the following:
"If you use layout-oriented storage control, the system creates one inactive warehouse task and one or more active warehouse tasks."
Which sounds strange, I would expect to only have one active WT, the next one created once the active WT is confirmed.
"Process-oriented storage control is not supported."
Which also does not sound logical. I would think it is an internal movement, so that it should be possible to assign a process in the WOCR. But have not tested.

All the above is no official SAP statement.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hi Jürgend,
I agree about LOSC, looks like a mistake, should be 1 active and 1-n inactive.
Regarding POSC it is a link there to OSS Note, maybe it is hardcoded there with norou.
Process-oriented storage control is not supported. (Background: The Kanban triggers the creation of a picking task creation directly. Once the picking task (or the first task on the pick-HU) is confirmed, the Kanban container is set to ‘full’. In the same transactional context, goods issue / goods movement is triggered (if relevant).

Hi Jurgen,
I added the LOSC step but system takes the destination bin directly from control cycle & source bin by removal strategy.
So my product is travelling from 0050 ST to KBA1 ST & Added the step to move to supermarket area before supllying to PSA.
I hope it is not mandatory to create the intermediate ST as ID point, can it be general storage type or it has to be some other ST role.
Even I tried to use intermediate storage type 8010 but still it creates one WT's as a result when I tri to confirm that stock gets transferred to resource as LOSC says it should go to intermediate ST before moving to PAS bin. This creates conflict in the system and stock gets moved to resource and also in RFUI screen to confirm destination bin do not appear & we get error message.
This behavior is strange but I think since destination bin is maintained in control cycle therefore there is no way to have multi step WT in this Kanban scenario.
Also I observed only one replenishment element assigned to Kanban ID therefore multiple WT might not be possible. Even if we create multiple WT's by BADI then there might be issue with Kanban ID status update.

Can you suggest any alternative to meet the requirement?

Hi,
"So my product is travelling from 0050 ST to KBA1 ST & Added the step as shown below but it did not created two WT's."
Depending on your setting, the second WT is only created during the confirmation of the first one with RF. If you do not use a pick point and if you do not use RF, (including either picking a HU or creating a pick HU) the system does not do LOSC.
" This creates conflict in the system"
What conflict?
"Regarding POSC it is a link there to OSS Note, maybe it is hardcoded there with norou."
"Once the picking task (or the first task on the pick-HU) is confirmed, the Kanban container is set to ‘full’. In the same transactional context, goods issue / goods movement is triggered (if relevant)."
Well, that is what you get when you request such things like that.BrgdsJuergenHi
Also one more update if I use the PSA managed by under separate EWM managed sloc then in that case LOSC step work but since at first only one WT created by system therefore now material is stuck in intermediate area & initial task get confirmed with destination bin as blank.

As a result control cycle do not gets updated & status remains EMPTY.

Ganesh
Hello Jurgen,
Finally I'm able to achieve this case with POSC but then in this case it only works if I use the work center.
Since in my case movement of product is internal & I do not want to use the work center, let me know if any way we can achieve this.
In POSC I believe many changes if done then it can become even more powerful tool. I believe one more internal step as INTL should be introduced by SAP.
Case I achieve successfully is as below.

Ganesh
