Repacking in POSC with rule

Hi Everyone,

During GR POSC step i want to setup repacking before putaway with below rule.

if vendor has send the HU in wrong packaging material i.e not matching with pack spec for the material then repacking should be triggered otherwise it should skip the repacking step.

how can i achieve this ? thanks in advance.

Hi,

you would model such a scenario (the repacking at a work center) with POSC. In inbound processes the POSC is a field in the warehouse process type. And the WPT determination is not rule based or something. So in the standard there is no way to have the process determined based on if the packing is "right" or "wrong". Also this process step is not rule based for this requirement.

The only option is to use a BAdI. There is one (/SCWM/EX_CORE_PSC_PROCESS) which enables you to skip a process step.

Hi Yashpal,

theoretically it can be deconsolidation step, and skipped when not needed with /SCWM/EX_WRKC_DECON_DET Badi.

Theoretically could be done as well without Badi with use of different source storage bins for WT Creation.

And as Aslam asked, how you create your HUs? One can use manual packing in special HU type to "activate" deconsolidation step.

One question- How are you creating the HU's in inboud process?

Are you not utilizing pack specs for creating HU's?

HU's are already there in inbound delivery from ECC.
