Release date different from ATP check in Production Order

Hi Experts,

For orders received from Sep 3rd, when I do ATP check, for a material the last committed date of shortage component is 9/20, but the overall commitment date for the whole line is 9/25 and schedule release date for the production order is 9/24. According to the ATP check result, schedule release date should be 9/20 based on the latest committed date for shortage components. Screen shot attached for reference. Please let me know why difference in dates.

Regards,

Tamil

Hello,

Release date has nothing to do with material committed date, release date calculate as per Release Period define in schedule margin key.

I think you have no Release Period defined in schedule margin key due to that Scheduled start and release date is same.

Hi Brahmankar,

Thanks for the response.

The shortage materials are available on 20/09 but why release is happening only on 24/09 instead of 20/09.

Hello,

Release date has nothing to do with your material shortage date, 24/09 is planned release date for production order. Which calculated as per the order scheduling date + release period from schedule margin key.

And under confirmd date there is actual release date, and it is blank means your order is not yet released.

So in OPJK with business function 2 Release for your production order type and plant combination, you can control the release of production order if components are missing.

Release material = 3 No release if parts are missing
