*Sorry, The MIRO description has been corrected to MIR4.

I have the following customizations:

Material management > Logistics Invoice Verification > Incoming Invoice > Activate Direct Posting to G/L & Material Accounts

Customizing: Direct Posting in Log. Invoice Verification
Check_ON    Dir. posting to G/L acct = active
Check_ON    Dir. posting to matl = active

However, the "Material" tab is not displayed on the actual screen. Why is this? (The PO used in ERS have Material data.)

I would appreciate any advice.

Why the material tab never appears for Your “Normal” MIRO posting is because, even though you’ve ticked both “Direct posting to G/L accounts” and “Direct posting to material accounts” in IMG, SAP only shows the Material (and G/L) tabs in MIRO when you execute a subsequent‐debit or subsequent‐credit posting; not for the standard PO‐based invoice.

To see the material tab in MIRO, enter your Vendor and PO as usual. On the header toolbar, click the dropdown arrow next to Invoice and choose Subsequent Debit (or Credit). The screen will refresh—and you’ll now see a Material tab alongside the G/L Account tab. That tab is your manual-posting cockpit where you can enter quantities, valuation types, and post directly to the inventory account.

Why the standard invoices don’t show it is because, SAP assumes your PO‐invoice (MIRO with indicator “Invoice”) simply offsets GR/IR. The stock valuation is automatically adjusted via OBYC settings. Exposing the Material tab for a normal invoice would let users accidentally bypass GR/IR and break your reconciliation logic.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.
There was a slight mistake in the wording of my question, so I corrected it to "when queried with MIR4" instead of "when using MIRO."

I'm currently switching from ECC to S4, and my question arose from the fact that when I registered the same data in S4 as in ECC and compared the screens, the display was different between ECC and S4.
Despite the same customizations, I'm experiencing the following:
ECC: The "Material" tab is not displayed
S4: The "Material" tab is displayed
Is there any reason for this?
