I get how to link IM to WM movement types in SPRO using a "Reference Movement Type" number. However, I can't get an answer on where you create the actual "Reference Movement Type" in SPRO. It basically looks like I could enter any 3 digit number and connect an IM 101 to a WM 246 although it may not be right. There are no thumb-nails to trigger a popup selection of "Reference Movement Type" numbers.
My question is: Is the "Reference Movement Type" number just a made up number you enter, really the WM movement type number or the IM movement number, or what?
Thanks for your time and patience.
Hi,
"Is the "Reference Movement Type" number just a made up number you enter,"
Yeah, I think that sums it up quite accurately 😉

All the above is no official SAP statement.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
