Recipe-Phase cross order relationship (between 2 separate Recipe') - PPDS impact

Experts:

Seeking your inputs on the below:

  • Requirement:
  • Need a Start-Start relationship b/w the last operation/phase of the SFG Recipe & the 1st operation/phase of the FG' Recipe
  • Set-up in S4:
  • on the 1st Op-Phase of the FG' Recipe, where we define the "relationship", I've the SS, last phase # & the Recipe group data for the SFG, its counter correctly maintained

After I send this data (CURTOADV_CREATE) into PPDS, I was expecting the 1st operation of the FG & the last operation of the SFG to start at the same time. Looks like that isn't working. Has anyone tried this sort of cross-order start-start relationship b/w diff recipe groups? Does that even work?

Thanks in advance

Anand

hi Anand,

Try to maintain it the other way round, maintain a SS relationship in the last phase of SFG to the first phase of the FG recipe and CIF the PDS for both the materials.

Also in the profile use compact scheduling, the rest settings look good.

Hi Rupesh:

Thanks & i agree, but this setting by itself doesn't help in achieving the inter-order relationship right? I tested with this setting on the DSPB (manual drag/drop) & executing Heuristic but it doesn't do it. What would I be missing?

Where on the master data (am thinking PDS) do we communicate to the system of this Start-Start relationship, coz that should be the basis. Can we use the Planning related Min/Max interval, not sure? This seems to be a functionality needed across most of the CPG/Pharma/Chemical industries to be not supported standard in SAP

Thanks

Anand

Hello,

It is control through the strategy profile, in the Strategy Profile, tab Strategy Parameters f. Dependent Objects, field Order-Int. Rel. and Coss-Order Rel must have value Always Consider.
