I reactivated our main planning area after creating a new version today, and all our revenue key figures which which have been working perfectly for a couple of years have suddenly broken. No other changes were done to anything else on our production server.
The application log shows lots of W messages but activation was successful, and it's been working perfectly since the last time it was activated in Nov '18 by my predecessor.
I was not involved in implementation - but can someone clarify whether a KF can be stored & calculated at the same time? Also, any source of more detailed error log to try and fix? I can't find anything on KB articles or in my two IBP books on the issue.

Hi Andrew,
To answer your first question- Yes KF can be stored and calculated both.
There are some ways you can validate the results.
1. Check if exchange rate is loaded for all periods, especially where you don't see any revenue.
2. Since revenue is also a stored KF, use Planning object with key figure data option in Master data workbook to confirm if it is uploaded.
3. For periods where revenue is not loaded, check if consensusfcstrev is present. If none of these exist, the output will be blank.
Thank,
Rohit

Morning - KF returns revenue for some, nothing for others and negatives for the rest. Completely random.
MD is all correct as well, as I can get to my snapshot revenue total is I manually run (QTY * Price) * FX conversion through Excel. Also no MD has changed at all since before I ran it.

I presume you mean there is no data for revenue KF when you say the KF is broken. Since the planning area activation is done, can you please check the MD for exchange rate?
