Hello,
The date of the next inspection of the finished product appears to be calculated based on the last good receipt. Is it possible to make the system calculate it based on the manufacturing date?
here is example:-
Mfg. Date: Sep -2025
Retest Date: Aug-2029.
In SAP:
Mfg. Date: 21.09.2025
Next inspection date should be 20.09.2029
But the system is considering the next inspection date as 09.11.2029 from date of last goods receipt i.,e 10.11.2025.
Thank you

Hi,
By default, SAP calculates the retest date based on the Goods Receipt (GR) date plus the inspection interval. To make the system calculate it from the Manufacturing Date, you need to configure batch management and quality management settings so that the production date (MFG date) is used as the reference instead of GR. This typically requires customizing in batch master data, inspection lot creation, or enhancement via user exits/BAdIs.
