I am receiving a quantity confirmation through a PLC trigger, there will be occasions where we receive a confirmation that is higher than the SFC quantity in work at that operation. Example we have receive a confirmation of 20 when only 10 sfc quantity is left to complete the full SFC quantity.
Is there a way to raise the build quantity and release the new quantity released, so I can post the confirmation? I have done this with SAP MII but can't find a function block/BAPI to achieve this with SAP DM.
Thanks

Hi, see below some options you can evaluate:
- Increasing the Build Quantity for Overproduction manually in Manage Orders app and release more SFCs/quantities if Tolerances % are set from ERP, which is a manual option and might not be a good fit to your use case.
- SFC Split, where Allow Overproduction flag is available, so via Production Process you should be able to split the existing SFC into new child SFCs with extra quantity for every new overproduction confirmation that comes in. Example:
- Set SFC Quantity, where you can change quantity at SFC level directly. As a remark, only New and In Queue SFCs can have the quantity updated, so if the SFC is In Work in your case, you would need to SignOff the SFC first before setting the SFC quantity via API and then start it again via Production Process. Example:
Hope it helps! Br,
