questions aobut key figure classification and Disaggregation Mode

HI expert,

these might be a rudimentary question though, I would like to ask the followings;

Q1: As shown below, some KF are designated as "Key" and others are as "Required". Can you plz tell me the difference?

Q2: When Creating a new KF, we can choose "Equal Distribution" or "Copy value" for Disaggregation Mode. What is the latter like exactly? Regarding the former, "Equal Distribution", I understand that it makes it possible to disaggregate aggregated demand or value by the number of targeted items(e.g. if there are 300 demand for a product family at aggregate level and it has three individual products, the value 300 is divided by three, which is 100. ). However, I have no idea about how copy value works in terms of disaggregation.

The Best,

Hi Kenta,

Q1 is related to Master Data in which you have to have one Attribute as Key in Simple Master data and for compound Master Data you need min 2 attribute as KF. Key Attribute defines the structure of your data. The required attribute is the one without which you cannot update your master data.

Q2 - Normally Copy value is set if your aggregation mode is Avg.
