Query regarding IBP SubNetworks Security

Hi Experts,

I would like to restrict Master Data based on Subnetwork ID. Can someone advise on this.

Are you referring to restriction from the authorisation point of view or planning point of view? Ivan has mentioned you about the authorisation related topic in fact.

Hi Guru,

We would like to restrict the all Master data tables(location, location source, customer source, production source, location resource) based on Subnetwork. We are able to restrict LocationProduct and SubNetwork tables based on planning unit attribute but we are not able to restrict other tables mentioned above.

Hi Kishore - I don't think what you are asking is possible because the planning unit attribute is directly related only to PRODLOC master data type. It is not related to any other master data tables 'directly'. You may raise it to SAP and if you are lucky, you probably will get a suggestion from them to use the combination of some restrictions whichever helps fulfil your requirement.

Hi Kishore,

You can restrict the subnetworks based on Planning Areas currently. Below pages have more information on the available restrictions for all areas:
