Query on Inbound transaction management and Synchronous /Asynchronous transactions

Hi All,

I am exploring the concept of “Inbound transaction management” with Work Manager Application. To enable this, the setting needs to be changed from the default synchronous to asynchronous mode in SAP config panel.

Now my question is:

• If I want to change the mode from synchronous to asynchronous, how this is done and what is the impact it is going to make in the existing functionality?
• Except the erroneous record will all the transaction will get posted as usual?
• If the erroneous record is posted in the queue, will there be any confirmation given in client? How will the client know if the record is posted properly in SAP system?

If anyone has worked on inbound transaction management, can you please clarify so as to get a better understanding on this concept?
