Quality Management in EWM

Can we use IOT1 "Preliminary Inspection Inbound Delivery" option with S4 HANA 1909 ?

How to activate it ?

Hello,

IOT1 is anyway not really comparable to a "proper" quality inspection. It is only on document level and it is not enforceable.

The better choice probably is then to use IOT4 and acceptance sampling (https://help.sap.com/viewer/9832125c23154a179bfa1784cdc9577a/1909.002/en-US/a49122545687bb29e1000000...).

I have another question. Counting process is part of only decentral EWM and not part of embedded EWM. Is this statement true ?

You know, there is official documentation, and sometimes it is worth to read it, even if not always the answer to a question is not that simple. So if you check the documentation here (https://help.sap.com/viewer/9832125c23154a179bfa1784cdc9577a/1909.002/en-US/b914a45777476f10e10000000a441470.html - which is the embedded part, even if it is not specifically mentioned) and here (https://help.sap.com/viewer/9832125c23154a179bfa1784cdc9577a/1909.002/en-US/8d932183eacc4b8aa364a6d10371431f.html which specifically says that this is for decentralized EWM) you will find a description of the different QM processes.

As explicit counting is only part of a QIE, and this is no used in embedded EWM, yes, counting at a work center is only available in decentralized EWM.

Hi,

with S/4HANA 1909 the option for the IOT1 was removed (in a decentralized EWM, in embedded EWM this was never possible). If you plan to use it, as you did before, I would recommend to open a ticket...
